Welcome to Torrecorta
Everything began when two #sailors came up with the idea of finding a place ashore with the peace of the sea. A place where you can enjoy comfort and protection, to be shared with others who like kindness, nature and sometimes silence.
The property is a hidden gem that for some people might be a little bit hard to beat: this is what makes it so special and unique.
The house is located at the edge of a forest with no nearby neighbours, with all the comfort of a five-star villa. Exploring and feeling the nature will make your stay a present for your soul.
Torrecorta has been rebuilt from the original 200-year-old ruin of the small village in the Istrian woodland of Croatia. The white road from the nearby medieval town Grisgnan, which crosses the wood, will take you far from cities in which people are still living in a country style, with little farms producing wine, oil, ham and whatever a healthy land can offer.

Villa
The villa’s outstanding design is characterized by carefully planned exterior spaces boasting traditional elements of the authentic Istrian stone house with clear, minimal lines of the modern tower. This creates a mix of modern elements that enhance the traditional and original part of the house. The villa is 30 m long, including 300 m2 of cosy interiors that could be divided, from an aesthetical and practical point of view, into two separable and independent residential units: the “stone house” and the “tower”.
The interiors are inspired by an industrial, country, classic design that seems to tell you a timeline story in every space. The indoor areas are intimate but open and the uninterrupted clear span creates a bridge under which the conventions defining the indoor space disappear.
